This venue takes me back to my childhood. I would come here to this same location, to the Orange County Swap Meet with my Dad or a bunch of girlfriends.
Funny that I bought a vest here on layaway in high school. It was a sherpa fleece vest and warm. I put around ten dollars down the first weekend and came back to pay an additional 30. I loved that vest. I wish I could say that I still have it but it was lost a few years later.
Another time, while attending FIDM in Costa Mesa, my sister In-Law Donna and I came to sell, for me it was a whole clothing line made from dyed muslim of dresses printed with graphic lines made of black permanent marker and skorts.
To my surprise the skorts were popular with the surfer boys and sold like crazy. Donna made beaded earrings that I still wear to this day.
I am looking forward to seeing more old and new friends there.
